Let’s be honest, leadership can be intimidating when you’re constantly comparing yourself to everyone else in the room.
She’s bold. She’s polished. She’s extroverted. She knows how to command attention, while you’re just trying to command your nerves.
And without even realizing it, you start shrinking. You second-guess your presence. You try to adjust your tone, filter your thoughts, or mimic someone else’s style because you assume that their way is the way.
But here’s the truth: God didn’t ask you to imitate. He asked you to influence your way.
You don’t have to be loud to be powerful. You don’t have to be charismatic to be impactful. You don’t have to match their style to be effective.
God knew your temperament, your background, your quirks, and your gifting and still called you to lead. He doesn’t need you to copy someone else’s method. He needs you to trust that the way He wired you is not a flaw, it’s a feature.
You might be the quiet one who listens deeply and leads with empathy. You might be the creative one who leads with vision before the rest of the world can see it. You might be the strategic one who doesn’t say much, but when you do, it moves things.
Your leadership is effective when it’s authentic. And authenticity requires courage.
Scripture reminds us: “This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.’”(Isaiah 43:1b NLT)
God called you by name. It's not your mentor, your supervisor, or your favorite online personality. So lead like you. Because your style is your superpower.
