Faithfulness is a Growth Strategy: Stay Until It Produces Fruit

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get enough credit in the business world or the faith world: Staying power.
We live in a culture that glorifies momentum, speed, and overnight success. If it’s not growing fast, we think it’s not working. It is because what you nurture, grows. What you tend to, strengthens. What you stay with, eventually produces fruit.t’s not getting attention, we think it’s time to pivot. But here’s the truth I’ve learned again and again:
Faithfulness is a growth strategy. It’s not flashy. It’s not always exciting. But it’s effective.
But you’ve got to stay long enough to see it.
When I Wanted to Walk Away
There have been times, even recently, when I questioned whether it was time to shut something down. A project that wasn’t moving as fast as I wanted. A space that wasn’t gaining traction. A business stream that looked like it was failing.
I prayed, “Lord, is it time to release this?” And His answer wasn’t what I expected.
“It’s not dead. It’s still in seed form. You just haven’t watered it long enough.”
Whew. That convicted me.
Because I realized I wanted fruit without full faithfulness. And fruit doesn’t come from starting something new every 30 days. It comes from tending to what God already told you to build.
The Power of Staying Put
Faithfulness doesn’t mean doing the same thing forever. It means you don’t abandon the assignment just because it’s uncomfortable, slow, or hidden.
You keep showing up. You keep nurturing the vision. You keep doing the “unseen” work because you know Who you’re doing it for.
Some of the strongest leaders I know aren’t the ones with the most followers. They’re the ones who kept showing up for the thing God told them to do when no one was watching.
That’s fruit that lasts.
3 Coaching Reminders for the Woman Who Wants to Quit
1. Don’t Dig Up What You Planted Just Because You Don’t See It Yet
Seeds grow in silence. Breakthrough often begins underground. If God told you to plant it, keep watering it, especially when you see nothing.
Ask yourself: Am I walking away too soon from something God never told me to leave?
2. Stay With the Process Even When It’s Boring or Repetitive
Growth isn’t always exciting. Sometimes it looks like sending the email, following the system, updating the spreadsheet, or recording the podcast no one’s clapping for.
It’s not wasted. It’s working.
Faithfulness builds credibility in the spirit. And eventually, it produces visible fruit.
3. Ask God for Fruit and the Patience to Wait for It
God is not in a hurry, even when you feel like you're behind. And His idea of success may look different than yours.
Your job is to stay faithful to the assignment. He’ll bring the increase.
Pray: “God, help me not to chase what looks fruitful. Help me to nurture what You’ve asked me to steward.”
Final Word
You’re not behind. You’re not doing it wrong. And you’re not wasting your time by staying committed to the thing God called you to build.
You are building with roots. And anything with strong roots will always bear lasting fruit—if you stay long enough to see it.
So keep showing up. Keep nurturing what’s yours. Keep trusting that faithfulness is not failure. It’s formation.
Faithfulness is a growth strategy. Don’t quit. Stay until it produces fruit.
