I almost walked away from everything I was building.
Not because I didn’t believe in the vision. Not because God changed His mind. But because I was tired and discouraged. I felt like I was watching everything fall apart.
The Struggles We Face
Have you ever been there? You put in the work. You've prayed the prayers. You try to be faithful, yet the results don't match the sacrifices you make. During those moments, when it feels like no one sees the weight you carry behind the scenes, quitting can start to feel like the only relief.
But one day, while I wrestled with these feelings, God whispered something that changed everything for me: “You’re not behind. You’re being refined.”
This simple reminder broke something off of me. I realized that God wasn’t punishing me. He was preparing me. He was strengthening what needed to last, not just what looked good on the surface.
The Importance of Community
That season of refinement was challenging. It was hard. But it was also holy. What kept me going was not just that whisper from God; it was the unwavering support from people who believed in me when I didn’t have the strength to believe in myself. My community held me up when my confidence was shaky.
If you’re reading this and you’ve been considering quitting, take a moment to pause.
You’re not crazy. You’re not lazy. You’re not behind. You’re in process.
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NLT)
Finding Your Strength
You don’t need to feel strong to stay in the game. You just need to stay close to the One who strengthens you. Your harvest is still coming, even if you can’t see it yet.
It’s easy to feel disheartened when the journey seems too long or too challenging. Yet holding onto your vision and purpose can help you push through the rough patches. The truth is, you might not be able to see the fruits of your labor right now, but that does not mean they are not coming.
Embracing the Journey
Every step you take, every prayer you lift, and every moment spent in faith contributes to shaping the person you are becoming. Remember, challenges can transform into opportunities for growth.
Let’s consider the idea of being refined. To refine means to remove impurities and enhance quality. Just as gold is refined through fire, so too are we refined through trials. When we embrace our struggles, we acknowledge that they are part of our journey.
The Power of Persistence
The act of persisting is not about waiting until you feel ready or capable. It’s about choosing to move forward despite your limitations. Each time you choose to show up, you demonstrate resilience. This resilience builds the character that will sustain you in the long run.
Embracing this process will not only benefit you but also those around you. Your perseverance can inspire others to keep going, even when they are unsure about their next steps.
Reflecting on This Journey
In moments of doubt, reflect on the reasons why you started. What sparked your passion? Who are you serving through your work? Keeping these reasons at the forefront can reignite your motivation.
While on this journey, don’t forget to celebrate small victories. Each milestone, no matter how minor it may seem, deserves acknowledgment. These moments can uplift your spirit when the path becomes treacherous.
Conclusion: Stay the Course
In conclusion, don’t give up too soon. Don’t walk away from something that God still plans to use. The process may feel lengthy, but remember that each step is intentional.
Stay anchored in your faith and embrace the journey ahead. You may be closer to your harvest than you realize. Keep believing, keep pushing, and trust in the refinement process.
